Chemical peeling is the application of fruit (AHA), lipohydroxy (LHA) acids or glycolic acid on the skin at certain concentrations. These cause epidermolysis – the separation of surface layers of the skin. The healing process follows when separated cells are replaced by new, young ones.
It stimulates a cell growth and subsequent deeper skin regeneration. This process of skin remodeling is accompanied by skin redding and then the skin peeling, tiny blisters, scabs, stinging, burning, peeling can also occur.
After healing the skin has visibly better renewed structure, it leads to smoothing the wrinkles, skin is stretched, smoother, softer, hydrated, the symptoms of acne and hyperpigmentation are reduced.
